Brda region are closest to us. Namely, every day we drive the route from Neblo to Rožna Dolina and Pikol. Some attractions in Brda:
Lookout tower in Gonjače. Many people stop in Gonjače because of the monument to the fallen from the Second World War, but the place is worth a stop for another reason - a 23 meter high lookout tower. There are 144 steps leading to the top, which in good weather conjure up the most beautiful possible view of Goriška Brda and its surroundings.
Dobrovo Castle and the story dedicated to Brda Rebula “Home of Rebula”
Lavender fields in Vedrijan. A fairytale idyll, especially in the month of July when the lavender fields are dressed in a magical purple color.
Šmartno . A charming medieval village, which in itself is considered a cultural monument and is actually located in the geographical center of Goriška Brda.
Vipolže Castle - Once a mighty hunting mansion and a representative villa of the Counts of Gorizia, it has finally been restored, which can once again testify to the fact that it was one of the most beautiful villas in Slovenia.
Korita with the natural bridge Krčnik. The Krčnik Natural Bridge is considered one of the most beautiful natural bridges in Slovenia. The reason is that natural bridges are rarely nicely rounded and smooth, as they usually remain rough and sharp due to weathering.
