We have answered some of the most common questions asked by Pikol guests. If you have an additional question, write to us or call us. We will be happy to answer you

What is included in the price?

Overnight glamping in villas, rich breakfast with local ingredients from Slovenian suppliers, delivered to the door of your cottage, bed linen, towels, slippers, internet connection (Wifi), parking, final cleaning, enjoyment on our Lake terrace View with refreshing drinks made from local herbs.

 

How about renting electric bikes?

The rental of bicycles and electric bicycles is provided by an external provider, the company Rock Velo.

​How many people is the house for?

There are five villas in the lake village of Pikol, four water villas on the lake with a size of 30m2 and one forest villa on the edge of the forest with a size of 55m2. Each water villa is equipped for two guests and the forest villa is equipped for 4 guests. So a maximum of 12 people spend the night at Pikol.

 

​Can a child come with us?

The villas are intended for both families and couples with children. Considering that there are water fairies on the lake, you need to be careful with children. In the water villas, there are also extra beds in addition to the double bed. We provide guests with peace and quiet.

 

Do you have a 24 hour reception?

At Pikol, we are family tourism and do not provide a 24-hour reception. We do not live on the property, so please let us know the approximate time of arrival a day or two before your arrival. Please keep to the agreed hours, or notify us of the change at info@pikol.si or at +386 5 333 45 23. Access to the houses is regulated by numerical codes (we do not have keys) chosen especially for you, which you already receive before arrival. With the code you received, you can access your chosen house at any time. If we're not there, use the phone.

When is check-in and when is check-out?

On the day of arrival, the cottage will be ready for you from 2 p.m. onwards. Arrivals are preferred by 5 p.m. In case of later arrivals, please inform us. Departures are until 10am. Please stick to the schedule unless we agree otherwise.

 

When do we pay and what credit cards do you accept?

You pay upon arrival or departure. We accept all credit cards except American Express and Diners Club.

 

​How does the reservation work?

You can send your inquiry via the online form, by e-mail or by calling us. We will answer you as soon as possible. You reserve the cottage definitively by entrusting us with your credit card details (this is only for a guarantee, you pay the full amount upon departure) or we send you a proforma invoice by email and you pay the deposit. You pay the rest upon departure or arrival

 

​What about the terms of cancellation?​

What if the weather is capricious?

"Bad weather"? Listening to the rain is something magical on Pikol. Storms through the glazed walls are admirable. If there is a cloud over the house, you will have breakfast under a cloud, which is also something different, right? Otherwise, on rainy days, we recommend massages, which you can visit at SPA Perla in Nova Gorica, a good book, a visit to the Gorizia Museum or, with a little extra effort, a visit to Miramar Castle on the Italian side. On rainy days, even just a simple panoramic drive in a car through the hills of Briška is the most beautiful thing.

 

Pikol as a gift - how do I buy a gift voucher?

A stay at Pikol is a nice gift - both for newlyweds, birthdays or anniversaries, but also for exceptional achievements, retirements, thanksgiving. Email info@pikol.si to let us know the value of the voucher and your address. We will send you an offer with payment information. A gift voucher to your address. This is in the form of a handsome wooden box, which also contains all our contact information. On the last page, you write your own wishes for the recipient. The voucher will remain as a memory. Gift vouchers are valid for one year.

 

What is the breakfast like?

Breakfast is brought to Pikol in a basket between 8 and 9 in the morning in front of the cottage door. A rich, high-quality and carefully prepared breakfast made from local Slovenian delicacies.

Our guests are completely independent and can serve themselves from the basket, set the table on the terrace or have breakfast inside the house.

If you have a reservation through our website, breakfast is included in the price.

How about the other meals?

The restaurant operates by reservation for closed groups and events.

 

​What do I have to pay extra for?

A tourist tax of 2.5 EUR/person/day is payable.

 

Are pets welcome?

Pets are allowed on request. Pets that are well behaved, adult and of medium height are allowed.

How about cleaning?

We guarantee daily cleaning of the houses, which means that we will change your towels if they are on the floor, take care of the bathroom, garbage, dirty dishes and change the bed linen if you stay for more than 3 days.

If you want a room cleaning service, you can let us know by 1 p.m. by pressing the "make my room" button on the screen under the TV.

 

​What kind of massages do you offer?

We perform massages from the Dotik center. Ask at the reception point for more information.

 

​Do you also have wellness and saunas at your place?

We currently do not offer such services at Pikol. Our guests have the option, with prior notice, to visit the Perla wellness center in Nova Gorica, which is a 5-minute drive from the resort.
